I'm Rebecca. I was twenty years into a career in life sciences, working long hours in a job that never stopped, with two small children at home. I got to a point where I could not keep going at that rhythm. What helped was not advice. It was a coach who asked me what I thought, waited for the answer, and then challenged the things I had long since stopped questioning. MayLuminate is named for my grandmother May, and the two words she said to me more than any others: be happy.
A decade or two into a career you chose carefully, and lately you go blank the moment it is your turn to speak. You are still good at your job. You are praised for coping, which is not the same as anyone asking how you are.
Nothing is wrong, exactly. You might be thinking about leaving. You might not know what you are thinking. Either way, you are looking for the hour nobody has offered you, to think properly about what comes next.
Ways to work together
One to one
The thinking that is yours alone. An hour with no interruptions and nothing required of you, and you leave with your own answer.
Thinking Uninterrupted. A team’s output is limited by the quality of its thinking, and its thinking is limited by how it meets. The quietest person in the room is often holding the thing that matters.
"I never really taken the time to reflect on myself in this way and doing this exercise has helped me a lot. It's made me understand myself better, what I truly want, how I can get there, and also, in a way, see things more from other people's perspective.”
Giorgia SAssociate Director, Business Development
"Like a ray of light! The coaching was not invasive, was more like a conversation that develops and unfolds towards a goal, without losing focus, even when there’s little stability or clarity in the matter discussed......the coaching helped me feel more motivated about my future direction. It made me more enthusiastic and allowed me to explore different scenarios and alternatives that feel more authentic and fulfilling."

"Coaching significantly increased my self-awareness, clarity of goals, and confidence in decision-making. I developed stronger problem-solving skills and a more structured approach to achieving my objectives.”
Benedetta MSenior Business Development Manager
"The most valuable part was the way you guided me to explore my own thoughts and feelings in depth, without judgment or pressure. Rather than giving solutions, you provided tools and perspectives that helped me uncover both the root of my challenges and the path forward by myself. This made the process very empowering."
Emma MHead of Chemistry
"When I started this emotional journey with Rebecca, I was going through a very difficult period, both professionally and personally. My mind was full of confusion, and I was looking for someone who could simply give me the right answers.
Instead, Rebecca helped me realize that the answers had to come from within. She guided me through my own journey, teaching me not to be consumed by worries about the future, but to focus on living in the present. She took my hand and helped me rediscover a strength I either didn't know I had or had simply forgotten.
I am truly grateful to Rebecca for her empathy, support, and ability to help me see things from a different perspective. Her guidance has made a lasting difference in my life."
